Student answer (Band 6.5)
People have distinct views on whether living creatures should be captivated in enclosers or confined places should be closed as their is no longer a need of zoos. However, I beleive that zoo is an essential part of any country as it helps to provide protection to animals, and also helps to boost the economy.
To begin with, in certain nations a surge in the populartity of zoos can be easily noticed since last a few years. This is because these animal confined places are gradually becoming large tourist attractions, especially among children. Therefore, by attracting the number of visitiors, such places help to strenghten the economy of any nation. For example, the Aferican Safari in Canada is a well-known open air zoo, and this place assist to generate a high revenue for the country as every year almost thousands of people visit this iconic sight.
Furthermore, the confined environment is not only provide animals with the sense of protection, but also enables people about the methods of protecting living creatures from extinctions. The primary rationale is that in zoos most of the wild species stay safe from their predators, and by visiting zoos people can gain an opportunity to watch rare species as well as that animals those are at a high risk of extinction. Enclosers also teach individuals about the importance of preservation of animals and also about their contribution to the environment.
To coclude, although some people support the idea of closing zoos and leting the animals enjoy their lives freely, in my opinion the enclosers are necessary not only for the betterment of animals, but also for the strong economy of a country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe zoos remain necessary because they protect animals and support the economy. Both reasons are relevant, and you provide examples, including the safari park and the role of zoos in protecting endangered species. This meets the task well, and the economic point is supported with a specific illustration. However, the two arguments are not equally developed: the economic benefit is explained mainly through visitor numbers, while the animal-protection claim would be stronger with detail about breeding programmes, veterinary care, or habitat loss. The response also gives limited consideration to the opposing view that animals should live freely. Developing that contrast and making the examples more precise would make the argument more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. The progression from economic benefits to animal protection is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. Some linking is less natural or precise, however. For instance, “Therefore, by attracting the number of visitors” does not clearly express the relationship between visitor numbers and economic benefit, and “not only … but also” is used awkwardly in the second body paragraph. References such as “this place” are understandable but could be more specific. More varied, accurate links between claims and examples would make the cohesion smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “tourist attractions,” “revenue,” “rare species,” and “extinction,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several choices or forms are inaccurate and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “captivated in enclosers,” “boost the economy,” and “the sense of protection” are examples. Spelling errors such as “beleive,” “populartity,” and “visitiors” are noticeable, while repeated use of “confined places” and “enclosers” limits precision. Aim for standard collocations such as “kept in captivity,” “wildlife conservation,” and “generate income,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a contrastive opening and the sentence beginning “The primary rationale is that…”. Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “their is” should be “there is,” “the confined environment is not only provide” needs a corrected verb structure, and “this place assist” requires subject–verb agreement. Articles and plurals also need attention in phrases such as “zoo is an essential part” and “from extinctions.” The final sentence has an awkward construction around “closing zoos and leting the animals enjoy their lives freely.” Review verb forms, agreement, and article use, then proofread complex sentences to ensure their clauses fit together accurately.
