Student answer (Band 5.0)

In globalization, numerous of individuals are competing for a large number of Animals they will hunt and put them captive as source of their food. In this modern era or 20th century, many animals are being extinct because of the greediness of people but I dont blame them to have a greed in their heart, they just need to survive in their daily life.

I disagree, because a large number of animals that we must have right now is being hunt by the illegal hunters in the forest, also even their is a law that protects animal from numerous people that has an ambition to capture many endangered species but we don't have such power to make them pay for destroying our animal habitats. but if we are helping each other to protect them then do it with all our might.

We must have some facilities like zoo to protect many animals from being extinct and help them to produce more new generation of animals in the jungle. As a concerned citizen that loves our mother earth, let's continue to build a safer home for all the animal not only in the land but even in air and water also giving a comfortable care for them.

Let's not abuse our human strength and treat many animals like a trash, we don't know that numerous animals has a different job in this world not only the human race has a job on helping the mother earth, so be respectul to animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear in the sentence “I disagree,” and you give relevant reasons for keeping zoos, especially protecting endangered animals from illegal hunters and supporting breeding. However, the response only partly addresses the central question: it does not explain in enough detail why zoos, rather than other forms of protection, are necessary, or consider the opposing view that animals may suffer in captivity. Several claims, such as zoos helping animals return to “the jungle,” are asserted without an example or explanation. Develop two main reasons with specific support—for instance, how a zoo’s breeding programme or rescue work benefits a threatened species—and connect each reason directly to whether zoos should remain open.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with a general introduction, states a position, and then gives reasons and a concluding appeal. The ideas about illegal hunting, animal protection and zoos are broadly related to the topic. However, progression is limited because the opening focuses on people hunting animals for food before the essay’s position is established, and the later paragraphs move between several points without clearly developing them. Linking words such as “because,” “also” and “but” are used, but some connections are awkward or unclear. Use a more direct introduction, give each body paragraph one main reason, and explain how its supporting detail leads to your conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “illegal hunters,” “animal habitats” and “protect,” which helps communicate your concern for wildlife. There is also some variety in expressions such as “concerned citizen” and “mother earth.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “numerous of individuals,” “put them captive,” “produce more new generation,” and “treat many animals like a trash.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less natural. Aim for precise phrases commonly used in this topic, and check word forms and spelling; for example, “respectul” should be “respectful.” Replacing repeated general terms such as “many animals” with specific references would also improve precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “but” and a conditional idea beginning “if we are helping each other.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “many animals … is being hunt,” where the subject and verb form do not agree, and “even their is a law,” where the sentence structure and pronoun form are faulty. There are also problems with articles, plurals and punctuation, such as “like a trash” and the run-on construction in the second paragraph. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating complete ideas with full stops before attempting longer sentences.
