Student answer (Band 4.0)

It is not necessary to keep wild animals in the zoos. Because zoos should be closed. Some people don't take interest to raising animal. Animals are Available in the Amazon forest.

Firstly, some people don't want to keep animals in zoos. Because they have no interest. They also busy in another activity. For example, in the city people spend a lot of time on their business. They have no longer time period. So they can't complete their responsibility according to animals. But nowadays, somebody knows about them. They also can't keep domestic animal in their houses.

Secondly, members of the society, keep animals in house instead of zoo. Mostly they keep raising animals. For example, In the village people keep animals for milk. They make a business to farm house. They have keep more cows, goats in their farm house. They also take benefits. Like they sale milk in the dairy shop. They earn more money with milk. For instance, if maximum amount has need then they sale one animals. On other hand they can't interested in zoo. Countryside individuals complete their responsibility. They grow many grass for animals. Its like a business. They give more importance this work. They are not do extra job. They just focus on their work.

Finally, I partly agree because people can't earn more money to this business. People should do international job. They should spend a lot of time on education system and then they could get more information. So they find better job in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response makes a position visible in the final paragraph (“I partly agree”), but it does not clearly answer whether zoos should be closed. Most of the discussion concerns people keeping farm animals for milk and earning money, rather than the role of zoos or the welfare and conservation of wild animals. The opening also gives conflicting or unclear reasons, such as saying people lack interest in raising animals and that animals are available in the Amazon. These points do not establish a relevant case for closing zoos. To strengthen the response, state a consistent view and develop reasons directly connected to zoos—for example, animal welfare, conservation, education, or the risks of captivity—with specific supporting examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response with an opening, body paragraphs, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally.” This gives the reader some sense of sequence. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the paragraphs move from zoo closure to private animal ownership and then to employment and education without explaining how these ideas support the position. Several links are also unclear, including “But nowadays, somebody knows about them” and “On other hand they can't interested in zoo.” Use each paragraph to develop one relevant reason, and make the relationship between examples and the main claim explicit. Clearer referencing and fewer mechanical transitions would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a basic range of vocabulary to discuss animals, work, and farming, including “responsibility,” “business,” and “importance.” Some topic-related terms, such as “domestic animal” and “farm house,” show an attempt to be specific. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which makes several ideas hard to interpret: “raising animal,” “They have no longer time period,” and “They make a business to farm house.” The vocabulary also focuses mainly on farming rather than zoos and wildlife. Build a more precise topic vocabulary and learn common combinations, such as “keep animals in captivity,” “animal welfare,” and “conservation efforts,” then use them in clear, relevant sentences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can understand some basic points, such as the example about selling milk. There are attempts to connect clauses with “because,” “so,” and “if,” but control is inconsistent. For example, “Because zoos should be closed” is a fragment, while “They have keep more cows” and “They are not do extra job” have faulty verb forms. Agreement and sentence construction also cause problems in “people can't earn more money to this business” and “if maximum amount has need.” Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement, and verb patterns after modal verbs and auxiliaries. More accurate simple sentences should come before adding complex structures.
