Student answer (Band 5.5)
Whether or not animals should be kept in the Zoos is a frequent debate. Personaly, as a human who loves animals lives as my own life, I totally disagree on the view that animals should be locked in cages , and I strongly beleive it should definetely take as harming and a thing against animals living rights. In this essay I will be discussing the reasons why I disagree and relevent reasons to prove my opinion.
Firstly, we should understand that, all the animals living in this world should have their right to live as they need, and they should live in their habitats. Different speceis are naturally belonged to various places, such as trees, ponds, lakes, muddy places, rivers caves or the sea. Since dedaces ago and even since the ancient time, animals lived in forests in their own homes, which created or found by themselves. Secondly, no one fed them, because they naturally know what are the natural and best food they need, and they know how to find it.When animals are in cages, the are stressed out even without engaging in their natural activities. For instance, we cannot even imagine or take messurement about the stress such as a carnivoruos animal like lion would have, when living in a cage without doing their natural habits such as hunting. Birds should have the freedom to fly in far away sky,as they own wings made for that. Monkeys, and rabbits should pick somthing to eat,why won't they? So, as humans, we must have the ability to think in other aspects, rather than focusing about the income gained by a zoo while providing their basic needs li food and water, because they are valuable living beings.
Furthuremore, caged animals should be released to their natural living places, because, that may increase their growth, hapiness and reproduction. They will live freely and more healthier and will be able to live along with their catles.
In conclusion, If governments should take proper actions to close animals, that would be deinetely benificial on the animals mental and physical stability, rather than keeping animals in cages as exhibits. As humans we should realize that, all the animals also living beings and they have their own lives rather than being someones exhibit.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree with keeping animals in zoos, and you give relevant reasons, including stress in captivity and animals’ need to live in natural habitats. Examples such as lions being unable to hunt and birds needing space to fly help illustrate your view. However, the response addresses the proposal to close zoos only partly. It does not consider possible roles zoos may play, such as conservation or caring for animals that cannot safely return to the wild, and the claim that released animals would become healthier and reproduce is asserted rather than supported. Develop fewer points in more depth and explain how they support closing zoos, while acknowledging a relevant counterargument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Furthermore” make the order of points easy to follow, and the conclusion returns to your central view. However, the progression is sometimes list-like: the examples of habitats, feeding, lions, birds and other animals are placed together without enough explanation linking them to the main argument. Some transitions are mechanical, and the final body paragraph introduces release and reproduction without developing the point. Group related examples, use clear topic sentences, and add explanation after each example. This would make the argument flow more naturally and clarify how each paragraph advances your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “habitats,” “carnivorous,” “stress,” “reproduction,” and “physical stability,” and you attempt to express ideas beyond basic statements. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “animals,” “live,” and “cages,” while several inaccurate or misspelled choices make meaning less clear. Examples include “animals living rights,” “catles,” and “take messurement about the stress.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “close animals” and “income gained by a zoo.” Aim for precise collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will help your ideas sound clearer and more natural without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “since,” so there is some structural variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to read. For example, “Personaly, as a human who loves animals lives as my own life” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the are stressed out” has an incorrect subject and verb form. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “all the animals also living beings.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation when editing.
