Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many activist around the world demand to set the animals free and closed all the zoos whereas some are against it and consider these places as necessary for future benefits. I also believe in the latter view and consider these places to be very pivotal for surviving.
First of all, these captivating areas ensure the rarer animals genes are protected and preserved for future research and evolution. Moreover, zoological parks are truly safe haven for many endangered species which might otherwise gets extinct by the predators or large animals for food. For instances, multiple animals gets killed by humans for their skin or bones usage in making of medicines and luxury products. Thus, wildlife parks ensure there safety and well being for long term.
Furthermore, some petting zoo are treating as a captivating sites for animals that are weak or need special care for their survival from outside environment. In addition, climate change and water scarcity in jungle has lead to deaths of many animals. Moreover, these sanctuaries also benefits in new researches and developing of medicines by analyzing animals behaviour and serum. For example, in Rajiv Gandhi Zoo there is weekly session for medical and students learning behavioural pattern which could not be possible otherwise. Hence, menagerie helps in conserving and providing future researches on animals.
To recapitulate, many people favour that animals should live in their own natural habitat but zoos are safe home for preserving and caring for every extinct or nearby animals for their future generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support keeping zoos open, and you give relevant reasons, including protection of endangered species, care for vulnerable animals, and research. The examples of animals killed for their body parts and the learning sessions at Rajiv Gandhi Zoo help make the argument more concrete. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained—for instance, the link between studying animal behaviour or serum and developing medicines could be clarified, and the claim that zoos preserve animals “for every extinct or nearby animals” is unclear. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop the main reasons with clearer explanation and ensure the response meets the stated length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Furthermore,” and “To recapitulate” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples generally appear beside the points they support. To move beyond this level, make connections between ideas more precise and avoid relying on several transitions in quick succession. In the second body paragraph, “Furthermore,” “In addition,” and “Moreover” introduce a series of points without showing clearly how climate change, animal care, and research relate to one another. Clearer topic sentences and more explicit links between claims and examples would strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “predators,” “climate change,” “sanctuaries,” and “behavioural pattern.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “captivating areas” and “menagerie,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and make the meaning less precise. For example, “captivating” means fascinating rather than protective, and “future researches” is not the natural form in this context. Other phrases, including “safe haven” and “skin or bones usage,” would benefit from more idiomatic wording. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than choosing a more elaborate word when a simpler one expresses your meaning accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which” and “whereas,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries reduce accuracy. Examples include “Many activist … demand,” “animals gets killed,” “some petting zoo are treating,” and “climate change and water scarcity … has lead.” The phrase “there safety” also needs a possessive form, and there is a missing space after the full stop in “animals.Moreover.” Review subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and article use, then proofread punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence structures clearer.
