Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main peak correctly: the 16–20 group has the highest figures for both males and females, and you note that the 51+ group is lowest overall. You also mention the equal figures for ages 26–30 and the male–female differences in several groups. However, the overview is incomplete and some comparisons are unclear or inaccurate: males are higher in most groups, but females exceed males at 31–50 and 51+, so the claim that male participation is higher across age groups needs qualification. The statement that the female group at 51+ has a high number conflicts with the table. Develop a clearer overview and report key figures to support comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, gives an overall statement, and then adds comparisons. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In addition,” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several sentences repeat the general point that internet use is high without adding precise information. The paragraphing is also limited, while references such as “the number of users” and “the ratio” do not always make clear which figures are being compared. Group the overview separately from the detailed comparisons, and use a consistent sequence through the age bands. This would make the relationships between points easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “age group,” “average hours,” “internet activities,” and “participants,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended comparison difficult to understand. For example, “the highest number spending their time” is awkward, “the female group competes the male” does not express the comparison clearly, and “the ratio … was recorded rise” is not an appropriate phrase for describing the table. Repeated use of “number,” “group,” and “internet” also limits precision. Choose concise terms such as “hours,” “usage,” and “exceeded,” and use them consistently to describe the figures.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the opening sentence communicates the topic. However, errors are frequent, and some sentence structures make the comparisons hard to interpret. Examples include “an information,” “hours spend,” “age group … was recorded as the highest number,” and “females was using less.” There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “the number of internet user was high in female group” and “the ratio … was recorded rise.” Most statements use similar basic patterns, with limited accurate control of more complex structures. Practise forming clear comparison sentences, checking articles and subject–verb agreement, and using past-tense reporting consistently.
