Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main peak accurately: the 16–20 group records 19 hours for males and 18 for females, and you also note that the 51+ group is lowest. However, the response only partly summarises the table. It gives no clear overview of the general pattern across all age groups and omits several useful comparisons, including the equal figures for ages 26–30 and the small female advantage among people aged 31–50 and 51+. The claims about cartoons, teenagers being addicted to mobile phones, and older people being unwilling to use the Internet are not supported by the data. Focus on reporting the figures and trends rather than explaining presumed reasons or behaviour.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation by age group, and phrases such as “on the other hand” attempt to signal contrast. However, the response does not develop a clear progression from an introduction to an overview and then selected comparisons. Most information is presented in one continuous paragraph, while repeated openings such as “At the age of” make the sequence feel list-like. Some links are also unclear: “As though” does not connect the preceding idea logically, and “At last” introduces a conclusion without adding a useful summary. Use separate paragraphs and organise the figures around the overall peak, decline, and gender comparisons.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses a small range of relevant terms, including “average hours,” “age,” “male,” and “female,” so the general subject is understandable. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, as in “using internet people” and “lowest and highest using of internet.” Several expressions are unnatural for describing a table, such as “its male watchers” and “most using internet people.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “intrnet” and “th.” Choose precise data-reporting language and avoid informal or speculative descriptions. For example, describe groups as “users” and figures as “hours,” rather than calling them watchers or percentages.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “different ages people has different taste,” where agreement and sentence structure are faulty, and “most of the people of this ages are addicted,” where the plural form and agreement are incorrect. The sentence beginning “As though they use internet much from others” is incomplete, and “people are belong” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, with several sentences joined directly together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete sentence construction, and clear punctuation before adding more complex structures.
