Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main pattern accurately: the 16–20 group records the highest figures for both sexes, and the 51+ group the lowest. You also report several comparisons correctly, including 8 versus 6 hours for ages 11–15 and equal figures of 4 for ages 26–30. This covers the task and gives a relevant overview. However, some important comparisons are omitted or only partly developed: for example, the decline from ages 16–20 through the older groups, and the small female advantage among ages 31–50 and 51+, could be summarised more clearly. The statement that women aged 26–30 and 31–50 spend the same time is accurate, but would be more useful alongside a fuller account of the overall pattern. A more complete overview and selection of key contrasts would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and two detail paragraphs. The progression from the younger groups to the older groups is generally understandable, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “Moreover” help signal movement between points. However, the organisation is not consistently clear: the final paragraph combines the 26–30, 51+ and female 31–50 comparisons without a strong grouping principle. Some linking is mechanical, and “Which is the most spending time…” is an incomplete sentence that interrupts the flow. Grouping the peak and subsequent decline together, then comparing the remaining age groups and gender differences, would create clearer progression and make the relationships between details easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “average,” “age group,” “highest” and “least,” so the reader can understand the main comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the description awkward. For example, “hourse time give it on internet” and “time invest” do not express the data naturally; “hours spent online” would be clearer. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “comperetively,” “excetly” and “respectievly,” which reduce precision. Aim to use a small set of accurate chart-description phrases consistently, such as “recorded,” “spent,” “respectively” and “compared with,” rather than trying to create unnatural alternatives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in sentence construction and verb patterns. “The table chart depicts the data related the mean hours” is missing a preposition, while “Which is the most spending time…” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. In “there are total 8 hourse time give it on internet,” the structure and verb form make the comparison difficult to read. Articles, plurals and agreement also need attention, as in “male and female of various age group.” Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check that each comparison has a parallel structure—for example, “Males spent 8 hours, compared with 6 hours for females.”
