Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits your ability to address the task. You have failed to report on the majority of the data provided in the table, offering only a very brief overview and a partial look at the younger age groups. To achieve a higher band, you must describe all key features, including comparisons across all age categories, and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for full development of your ideas. Currently, the response is too fragmentary to provide a clear summary of the information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response lacks a logical structure. While there is an attempt at an introduction and an overview, the body paragraphs are not developed, and the text ends abruptly. Cohesive devices are largely absent, making the flow of information disjointed. To improve, you should organize your report into clear paragraphs: an introduction, an overview of the main trends, and two body paragraphs detailing specific data points with appropriate linking words such as 'in contrast', 'furthermore', or 'consequently' to connect your ideas smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'usual hours spent' and 'internet network' are slightly unnatural in this context. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'age category' instead of 'age groups'. To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuation', 'significant', or 'trend'. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you describe the data more precisely and professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains several grammatical errors that hinder clarity. For example, 'teenagers of age group of 16-20 were highest' is grammatically incomplete, and 'more consistently, spent more time' is syntactically awkward. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. To improve, focus on constructing complete, error-free sentences. Practice using a mix of simple and complex structures, and pay close attention to basic grammar rules such as pluralization and the correct use of prepositions when describing data.
