Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have identified the main features and made relevant comparisons, which is the core requirement of the task. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For instance, you mention '18' and '19' without specifying that these represent hours, and the grouping of '31 to 51 plus' is inaccurate based on standard data interpretation. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly linked to the units provided (hours) and that the summary accurately reflects the specific age brackets provided in the prompt rather than generalizing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices like 'However', 'Whereas', and 'Nevertheless' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Other the other hands' (which should be 'On the other hand'). Additionally, some sentences are repetitive or lack clear referencing, making the progression of ideas feel slightly mechanical at times. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences will enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases like 'highest users' and 'use the internet'. There are also noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'the female senior citizens use are quite use browse the net', which is grammatically confusing and lexically imprecise. To improve, try to incorporate more varied synonyms for 'users' (e.g., 'individuals', 'demographic') and 'spend time' (e.g., 'devote', 'allocate') to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the males user the internet' (should be 'males use'), 'the majority the female users' (missing 'of'), and 'people of the limits of 26 to 30-years' (awkward phrasing). While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic subject-verb agreement and preposition usage prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for these fundamental errors.
