Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, as it is only 97 words long. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you attempt to identify some data points, the report is incomplete and ends abruptly mid-sentence ('more over 21 to 25 age'). There is no clear summary of the main features, and the analysis of the data is fragmented. To improve, you must ensure you complete the task by covering all age groups and providing a clear overview, while strictly adhering to the minimum length requirement to avoid a significant penalty.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response lacks a logical structure. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas are not well-connected. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often misused, such as 'more over' and 'moreover' used incorrectly. The progression of information is disjointed, and the abrupt ending significantly disrupts the flow of the text. To improve, focus on using transition words correctly to link sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified purpose. Proper paragraphing is essential for a coherent report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'diffrent', 'mostliy', 'gaed', 'yers', 'alos', and 'bothe'. These errors, combined with awkward phrasing like 'male people' and 'human used', make the text difficult to follow. There is a lack of precision in describing the data, which is expected in an Academic Task 1 report. To improve, focus on learning accurate spelling and using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'expenditure', or 'fluctuation'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammatical control is weak, with frequent errors that impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and word order, such as 'the mostliy male group internet usage ratio is higher' and 'gaed male less uses of internet'. The use of complex structures is attempted but results in ungrammatical phrases. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors before finishing your writing.
