Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While the response attempts to report on the data, the information provided is often inaccurate or confusingly presented. For example, the description of the 11-15 age group as '8 male and 6 female' is unclear, and the analysis lacks a clear overview of the main trends. The report is underdeveloped and fails to make meaningful comparisons between the age groups, which is a core requirement for Task 1. To improve, you must ensure you reach the word count and provide a clear, accurate summary of the data trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and often unnatural, such as 'To embark upon' and 'In the end', which are not appropriate for a data report. The referencing is also unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison of data points. To improve, use more standard academic linking words like 'In contrast', 'Furthermore', or 'Similarly', and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear, distinct aspect of the data.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and form, such as 'diffrent' (spelling), 'should using' (incorrect verb form), and 'og' (typo). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe data trends effectively; for instance, instead of using precise verbs like 'fluctuate', 'decline', or 'remain stable', the text relies on basic phrasing. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary for describing charts, such as 'significant increase', 'gradual decline', and 'proportion'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('The given table provide'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures ('teenager should spend too much time to using internet'). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which are necessary for higher band scores. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct preposition usage before attempting more complex structures.
