Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response provides a clear overview and identifies key trends, such as the higher internet usage among younger age groups compared to older ones. You successfully selected and reported the main features. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical, relying heavily on listing figures rather than synthesizing the data. For instance, the paragraph detailing specific age groups reads like a list of numbers. To improve, focus on grouping data more effectively to highlight significant comparisons or contrasts, rather than describing each age bracket individually. The summary is accurate, but the development of the 'main features' could be more analytical to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Overall', 'Additionally', and 'In comparison', which help the flow of information. However, some transitions feel slightly repetitive or mechanical. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within the second body paragraph could be improved by using more varied linking phrases to connect the comparisons between genders. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the reader can easily follow the information presented.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'citizens', and 'opposite pattern'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'young males with 11-25 years' (should be 'aged 11-25') and 'the opposite gender recorded 2'. The use of 'less by 1' is also slightly unnatural. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained constant', or 'a marginal difference'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'individuals aged 16-20 years spent more time on internet' (missing 'the'), 'those with 51 years above' (should be 'those aged 51 and above'), and 'ach sex recorded' (spelling error). These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions when describing age ranges and data points.
