IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given table illustrates the average hours spent on the internet by European male and female from different age groups.

It is clearly seen that male of the age group of 11 to 15 spent 8 hours on the internet. Male spent 19 hours on internet on the internet from the age group of 16 to 20 and from the age group of 21 to 25 male spent 7 hours on the internet. Male of the age group from 26 to 30 spent their 4 hours of the day on the internet and 31 to 50 years old male spent their 3 hours of the day on internet. Above 51 years old male spent only 2 hours on internet.

It is clearly seen that female of the age group of 11 to 15 spent 6 hours on the internet. Female spent 18 hours on internet on the internet from the age group of 16 to 20 and from the age group of 21 to 25 female spent 5 hours on the internet. Female of the age group from 26 to 30 spent their 4 hours of the day on the internet and 31 to 50 years old female spent their 4 hours of the day on internet. Above 51 years old female spent only 3 hours on internet.

Overall, male and female from the ages group of 16 to 20 spent mostly time on internet.
