Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, such as the high usage among teenagers and the low usage among the elderly. However, the report is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear, analytical focus. While you have selected key data points, the presentation is a list of figures rather than a cohesive summary. Some comparisons are made, but they are often simplistic. To improve, ensure you group data more logically and focus on identifying trends or significant differences rather than just listing individual statistics for every age group.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as 'To begin with' and 'In the contrary'. The progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph where the data points feel disconnected. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use the phrase 'spent on internet' and 'hours spent'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'tabular chart' (a table is sufficient) and 'in the contrary' (the correct idiom is 'on the contrary'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate a wider range of synonyms and more precise academic vocabulary to describe trends and data comparisons.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the internet'), prepositions ('spent on internet'), and sentence structure. For example, 'the age between 11 to 15' should be 'those aged between 11 and 15'. The use of complex structures is limited, and the errors occasionally make the sentences feel clunky. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will help improve the overall accuracy and readability of your work.
