IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The table illustrates how much European people of different ages spent on the internet in average.

Overall, we have 6 different ages for both genders and the highest number in male and female Europeans was in 16-20 years old. The lowest was in 51+ also for both. Males has the highest usage in 4 different ages, in comparison females spent more time in just 2 ages.

Starting with 11-15 years old, males had used the internet for 8 hours while female used if for only 6 hours. Secondly, 16-20 years with the highest usage among all the ages and genders with 19 hours and just below it the female with 18 hours. In contrast, 51+ males used the internet for only 2 hours, meanwhile, females spent 3 hours. Then 21-25 years males used the internet for an average of 7 hours, moreover, females spent 5 hours. Next, 31-50 years had the exact same usage of internet with 4 hours, in comparison, 31-50 had almost the same number but with 3 hours only for males.
