IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This table illustrates the average hours use of Internet by European residents of certain age groups.

The age group of 16 to 20 spend the highest hours of Internet. The least use of this is by the people more than 51 years of age. Other groups of residents are nearly same usage of Internet. According to this table, it compare male and female of same ages. This shows that the both genders are almost same habbit of working on internet.

As this information tells that in the early teenage groups, they use less internet but as they appraoch towards the late teenage their usage suddenly increased. As soon they turn into the adult their habbit of wasting their time on internet decreased rapidly.

By looking at this table, one thing is similiar that the decreasing and increasing trends of opposite sex is same. If one gender is using internet mostly the other is doing same and vice versa.
