Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear, accurate overview. While it identifies some trends, the information is often imprecise or contradictory. For example, the claim that 'all ages are using almost equal time' is not supported by the data, and the description of the 51+ age group is confusing. The response lacks a clear selection of key features and fails to make meaningful comparisons between the groups. To improve, you must focus on reporting specific data points accurately and grouping information logically rather than listing details in a disorganized manner.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is weak. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical, such as 'In details, if i say' and 'At last, I just want to say'. These phrases are informal and do not effectively link the information. The referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between age groups. To achieve a higher band, you should use a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'informeten', 'Europian', 'internt', 'popl', and 'equel'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe trends or data points with precision. You rely on basic words like 'using' and 'spending' throughout the text. To improve, you should learn topic-specific vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuate', 'significant', 'proportion', and 'category', and pay closer attention to the correct spelling of basic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('old Aged people uses', 'adult... are using'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures ('the other ages people are using allmost equel time'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some errors in basic punctuation and capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, and practicing the correct use of articles and prepositions.
