The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The table illustrates the information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age categories and Gender (male and female) starting from age 11 to 51+ age.
Overall, the European people especially male spends more time on internet compared to female. Forthermore, the young youth of both the gender uses internet for hours whereas, the elder people expend less time on internet.
The highest age group which spent most time on the internet is 16-20 years form the both male and female categories with 19 hours and 18 hours respectively. In contrast, the number of male spent most on internet (40 hours in total) compared to female (40 hours in total). The second age group which spent is 11-15 in male and female with 8 hours and 6 hours average followed by 21-25 with average 7 hours and 5 hours.
The group of European people which spent least on the internet is 51+ in both gender followed by 31-50 age group. Whereas, the age group of 26-30 grom both gender spend 4 hours on the internet
