Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the task by summarizing the data, but it lacks a clear overview of the main trends. While you mention that teenagers use the internet more than older people, the report is largely a list of data points rather than a synthesis of information. You have included specific figures, which is good, but you need to group these into meaningful trends (e.g., comparing the peak usage age groups against the lowest). The report covers all age groups, but the lack of analytical grouping prevents it from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on identifying the 'big picture' trends before detailing specific data points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'In the age of...'). Some transitions are awkward, such as 'And also in the as of 51+', which disrupts the flow. The progression of ideas is logical, moving through the age groups, but the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the writing feel disjointed. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that sentences connect more naturally will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use phrases like 'use the internet' and 'as compare to', which limits the range of your expression. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'in nowadays' (should be 'currently' or 'in modern times') and 'take same hours' (should be 'spend the same amount of time'). To achieve a higher band, try to incorporate more varied synonyms and precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'fluctuate', 'peak', 'surpass', or 'account for'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('teenagers using internet', 'males are use internet') and preposition usage ('in the age of'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from being considered error-free. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound before attempting more complex forms.
