IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table provides data regarding the average time spent by European people of different age groups on the Internet.

Overall, teenagers age group (16-20) recorded highest number of hours spent on the internet while the people 51+ spent least hours on social network. The number of hours on internet decreased with the increase in age.

It is clearly seen in the table that the Both sex in age group (16-20) spent most hours on internet 19 for boys and 18 for girls. In contrast, individuals over 51+ spent just 2 hours in males category and 3 hours for females.

On the other hand, 11-15 age group male spent 8 hours and female just 6, similarly the youngsters between 21-25, male were active on internet for 7 hours and female for 5, while 26-30 aged people recorded 4 hours same for both genders. Similarly the people between 31-50 who spent 3 hours for men and 4 hours for women.
