Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to summarise the data, but the information is often presented in a confusing or inaccurate manner. While you identify the main trends, such as the 16-20 age group having the highest usage, the comparisons between male and female groups are poorly articulated. The summary at the end is repetitive and does not effectively synthesize the data. To improve, focus on grouping data logically (e.g., by age range rather than gender) and ensure that the figures cited are clearly linked to the correct categories. The current presentation makes it difficult for the reader to follow the trends.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions like 'Furthermore' and 'In contrast' are used, but they often connect sentences that lack a clear thematic link. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'almost same in male age groups of peoples,' which makes the comparison difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying heavily on phrases like 'internet using' and 'hours spend.' There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'teen age gang' and 'youngers,' which are not appropriate for an academic report. The phrasing is often unnatural, which hinders the clarity of the information provided. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion,' 'fluctuated,' 'peaked,' or 'remained stable,' and avoid informal or non-standard expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the highest internet using people'), incorrect word order, and missing articles. Sentence structures are generally simple and often fragmented, lacking the complexity required for higher bands. For example, 'The male age groups, 16-20 years teen age most of the time using internet for highest hours' is grammatically incorrect and difficult to parse. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and pluralization will help improve your accuracy.
