IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given table represents the average hours spent on the internet by Europeans categorized by age and gender. As we can see from the data people from 16 to 20 years old have the highest internet consumption with an average of 19 hours per day for males and 18 for females. Furthermore, elderly people that are above 51 years old have the least time spend on internet with an average of 2 hours per day for males and 3 hours for females. Moreover, in average, males spend more time on the internet than females. This is especially from the age of 11 to 25. Also, as the European get older his internet time spend decreases significantly especially after the age of teenage where the time spending has peaked at 19 hours. To conclude, this data shows that the time spend on internet for European people has correlation with the age, with younger people have the highest time spend.
