IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The table provides the data about the average hours spent on the internet by European people of different age groups which consists primarily of male and female with different proportions.

Male and female of age ranging from 16 to 20 shows the highest proportion of internet usage while the hours spent on the internet by people of age 51 or more highlights the low percentage. At the age ranging from 16 to 20, the percentage of male is 8 percent and female specifies 6 percent which is comparatively low. However, male and female of age 26 to 30 represents same proportion of male and female ratio. Meanwhile, 4 percent of female and 3 percent of male shows the ratio at about 31 to 50 age .

In conclusion, different ages of males and females showed different number .The 51 age showed the less amount of internet usage by male and female.
