IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table categories the average hours spend on internet by the different age groups of european people.

Overall, data shoes a peak in average hour spent in late teenagers, age between 16 to 20 years whereas, from early twenties to fifties, average hour spent kept decreasing gradually.

In early teenage, from age 11 to 15 years european people spent 8 to 6 hours on average on the internet. Addition to that, average time spead peaked in late teenagers, by touching 19 hours on average by males and 18 hours by females.

Moreover, in early twenties the hours spend drop to 7 and 5 hours on average in male or female time respectively. Whereas, from late twenties to early fifties, avergae time spend on the internet is reported 4 hours on average. Lastly, people who are older than age fifty one are observed spending 2 hours on average in males and 3 hours on average in females.
