The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table represents the average hours spent on the internet by European people of different age groups.

Overall, the younger males tend to spend more time on internet on daily basis as compare to females, however the usage trend slightly shifts after the certain age where females are tend to spend more time online.

The majority of male and female age between 16-20 spend 19 and 18 hours respectively on internet, while people above the age fifty-one spend the least amount of time online. The male and female of age bracket 26-30 use internet for fours daily. The balance among male and female media consumption ratees can be observed in between age 26-30.

It can be observed from the table that male of age 16-20 are the higest consumer of internet whereas male above fifty are the lowest. The trend shifts after the age of thirty-one where females are leading.
