IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table illustrates the time spent on Internet in Europe between male and females aged 11-51.

Overall, it is clear that the male gender uses the internet more frequently compared to the females.It is also notable that the younger age has the highest usage of internet whereas the older age consume less internet.The 16-25 age group has a significant high record amongst all age groups.The 51+ age has the least fewer people overall.

Turning to the 26-30 they have the same number of internet consumers between women and men 4:4 respectively.Furthermore, the 31-50 is quite similar with just one number difference for men and women 3:4 respectively.

The gap between the 16-20 age groups and 51+ age is widely huge noted by the numbers 19:18 recorded for 16-20 age group and 2:3 for 51+.To add on, 11-15 has the second position for the people who regularly uses internet in Europe.
