IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The table illustrate average hours spent on the internet by European people of different age groups.

Overall, male between the age of 16-20 accounted for the most hours spend on the internet, while male in the age of 51 or more represented the least hours. female between the age of 16-20 also spend a huge amount on time on the internet which is why they are the second highest.

Meanwhile,7 hours spend by male in age of 21-25, whereas, only 5 hours spend for female with same age. male in the age of 51 or more accounted for the least amount of hours that been spend which is 2 hours, similarly for women in the same age for 3 hours which is slightly higher than men.

Overall, spending time on social media for the youngsters was more intense and it reached to less hours as the times go.
