The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table shows the average hours spent on the internet by European people of different age groups. This table divides into two groups male and female.

Firstly, men at the age of 11-15 years spent 8 hours on internet while women at this age spent 6 hours a day on internet. Men and women at the age of 16-20 years spent most of their hours on internet which is 18-19 hours a day.

Secondly, people usually start minimizing their screen time after the age of 25 years. Screen time of men at the age of 26-30 is 7 hours while screen time of women is 5 hours. At the age of 51 or more this screen time reached at 2 hours for men and 3 hours for women.

In conclusion, Screen time is maximum for both male and female is at the age of 16-20 while minimum at the age of 51+. Overall, internet usage of male is a bit more than female.
