IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table gives information about the average hours spent on the Internet by European people of different age groups.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The table illustrates the usage of internet by the European people for both males and females that is measured in hours spend for different age groups.

Overall, male has been on the top position in contrast to females for the age group of 16-20. Also in the age groups males have done the maximum usage in comparison to females except 51+ age group.

Initially, age group between 16-20 have used the highest internet that is male 19hours and female 18hours. While the age group of 11-15 and 21-25 have almost been same for both males and females.

Lastly, the age group between 26-30 as well as 31-50 shown the same hours of females usage that is 4hours and males for 4hours and 3hours. Additionally, 51 and above have the least usage of internet for both males and females that is 2hours and 3hours.
