Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 4.5)
So here we can see a table, which is giving us information about the time spent by European people on internet.
From the looks of it the table is divided into three section, the age of the people, and male, female.
First we have the teenage people around 11 to 15 years old.The male use the internet 8 hour's a day while female use 6 hours.
If we see from this pattern at the age of 25 mostly male consum move internet hours then female. But here the twist at the age from 26 to 30 both genders spent same amount of hours.
And there comes another shocking thing the male's are use consuming less hours then female as they grow old.Its almost opposite from the start. The results shows that the after passing thirty male goes down or using less internet hour's while female stay's the same till 50.But after that they goes down too.
Probably they are ge6old that's why.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response attempts to present information from the table, but the selection of data is erratic and incomplete. While some figures are mentioned, such as the 11 to 15 age group where males use the internet for 8 hours and females for 6 hours, the overview and data reporting are heavily clouded by informal commentary and personal speculation, such as 'Probably they are getting old that's why.' The relationship between the age groups and internet usage is not clearly or systematically reported, leaving parts of the data unaddressed and the response sitting at a minimal level of task fulfilment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text suffers from a lack of proper paragraphing and an overly conversational, disjointed tone. There is some attempt to guide the reader through the data using transitional phrases like 'First we have' and 'If we see from this pattern', but these cohesive devices are mechanical and inadequate for structuring an academic report. The progression of ideas is often unclear, jumping between age brackets without a logical overarching flow. Referencing is also weak, making it difficult to follow which data points are being contrasted at certain points in the response.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, relying on everyday phrasing such as 'time spent', 'shocking thing', and 'grow old'. There are several noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies, such as 'consum move internet hours' instead of 'consume more internet hours' and 'use consuming less hours'. Spelling and morphological slips are also present, which detracts from the clarity of the writing. The range of vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for communicating basic ideas, but it falls short of the precision required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Grammatical control is weak, with a very limited range of sentence structures. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the male's are use consuming', 'the results shows that the after passing thirty male goes down'), missing articles ('giving us information about the time spent... on internet'), and incorrect prepositions. Punctuation errors are also apparent, such as unnecessary apostrophes in plurals like 'hour's'. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control over grammatical forms.
