Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You report several figures accurately, including the peak for men and women aged 16–20 (19 and 18 hours) and the equal figures of 4 hours for both sexes aged 26–30. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: “elder age women up to 25” does not describe the older groups, where women spend more time than men at ages 31–50 and 51+. The response also lacks a clear summary of the main pattern across the age groups, such as the sharp peak at 16–20 followed by a decline. You include relevant comparisons, but some are presented as a list rather than explained as key features. A clearer, accurate overview and more selective reporting would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall shape: an introduction, an attempted overview, and a paragraph of figures, followed by a final observation. Some linking expressions, such as “Moreover” and “on the other hand,” show an effort to connect information. However, progression is difficult to follow because several age groups and values are compressed into one long sentence, and the final point about ages 26–30 repeats information already given. The overview’s wording also makes the comparison between younger and older groups hard to understand. Organise the body into clearer comparisons—for example, the peak and subsequent decline, then the small differences between men and women—and use linking phrases only where they accurately show the relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “average hours,” “overall trend,” and “striking feature,” and the reader can generally identify the topic and comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. Phrases such as “hours spend on internet,” “spend on more time,” and “crystal obvious” are not natural ways to describe the data. There are also spelling errors in “tabel” and “euorpian,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for precise reporting language such as “spent,” “recorded,” “rose to,” and “declined,” and use “hours spent online” consistently. This would make the comparisons clearer and more appropriate for an academic summary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a few longer structures, including “while” and “whereas” comparisons, but most sentences rely on basic patterns, and complex attempts are often faulty. For example, “men 8 hours spend on internet whereas women 6 hours” lacks a clear verb structure, while “women and men spend time on internet is the same” has an incorrect clause construction. Errors also occur in articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “Unit give in hours” and the run-on sequence of figures beginning “Moreover (16 to 20…).” These problems sometimes make relationships between figures difficult to follow. Practise complete comparison sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check punctuation and verb forms when combining clauses.
