Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main pattern accurately: the 16–20 group records the highest figures for both sexes, while the 51+ group records the lowest, and you note several valid gender comparisons. This addresses the task with relevant information. However, the overview is broad rather than fully informative, and some comparisons are not supported with figures—for example, the 11–15 and 21–25 differences could be made clearer by reporting the values. The final sentence is also unfinished, so the comparison for the oldest group is left incomplete. Include a concise overview of the overall age pattern and support the selected comparisons with accurate data to make the report more complete and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to comparisons between age groups. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” help signal relationships between points. However, progression is weakened by repeated statements about the 16–20 group, first in the overview and again in the next paragraph. Several sentences begin with “While,” creating a repetitive, sometimes incomplete pattern, and the final sentence breaks off, leaving the ending unclear. Organise the body around a clearer sequence—perhaps the highest-use groups followed by the lower-use groups—and use references and transitions more selectively so each paragraph adds new information.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for describing the table, including “age group,” “genders,” “females,” and “smallest portion,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “table chart,” “alot of their time,” “spend very less time,” and “hold the smallest portion.” Spelling errors, including “european” and “diffrent,” also reduce accuracy. For this task, use precise terms for the figures and comparisons, such as “average hours,” “highest figure,” and “lower than.” Vary repeated wording like “use internet” with natural alternatives such as “spend time online,” while checking spelling and collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentence forms, including contrasts introduced by “While” and “On the other hand,” and the main comparisons can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent: “age group of sixteen to twenty … spend” has subject–verb disagreement, while “the adults with the age of 26 to 30 are same” has an incomplete grammatical construction. Articles and prepositions are also often missing or awkward, as in “on internet” and “above fifties.” The repeated use of “While” to begin sentences sometimes leaves the relationship between clauses incomplete, and the final sentence is unfinished. Practise complete clause structures, agreement, and article use, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
