Student answer (Band 5.0)
The table gives information about the average hours spent on the internet by European people of different age groups.
In modern internet world, as we can see young people are more into internet rather then old people to prove that, researcher collect data from different age of groups and got some shocking result.
People age of 16 to 20 are the most who are using internet in Europ and hopefully it is same in rest of the world also, even young people around 11 to 15 years old are the second highest of using internet. It could be because they are using internet for their education also but it is very dengures for society.
At the other side nowadays, older people age above 50 are the least in using internet and they believe more phyiscal social connection rether then social media.
Other age groups numbers are not too hight, which could be a point of warryness.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the main age pattern: 16–20-year-olds have the highest figures, while people aged 51+ have the lowest, and you mention that 11–15 is also relatively high. However, the response does not adequately summarise the table: it gives no figures, omits the male–female comparisons, and says little about the other age groups. Some commentary, such as claims about education, danger to society, and older people preferring physical connections, is not supported by the data and is not appropriate for this summary task. The response is also 13 words below the 150-word minimum; the 19 words copied from the prompt were excluded. Focus on the table’s measurable features and include a concise overview with key comparisons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has separate paragraphs and a broadly understandable sequence, moving from a general statement to younger and older groups. This gives it some organisation. However, the progression is not consistently focused on summarising the data: the second paragraph introduces speculation, and the final paragraph makes a vague comment about “other age groups” without specifying which ones. Linking phrases such as “At the other side” are used awkwardly, while “also” and “to prove that” do not clearly connect the ideas that follow. A clearer structure would present an overview first, then compare the age groups and sexes in a logical order, using precise references such as “by contrast” and “in the 26–30 group.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “average hours,” “age groups,” and “using internet,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less clear or less suitable for an academic report. Examples include “most who are using internet,” “shocking result,” and “point of warryness”; the evaluative phrases also do not fit a neutral data summary. Spelling errors such as “Europ,” “dengures,” and “phyiscal” are noticeable. Use precise, neutral language to describe quantities and comparisons, and check spelling carefully. For example, report that one group “recorded the highest average” rather than making claims about society.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes mostly simple sentence patterns and attempts some longer constructions, for example, “It could be because they are using internet for their education also but it is very dengures for society.” However, the longer sentences are not controlled consistently, and errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. In “People age of 16 to 20 are the most who are using internet,” the noun phrase and clause are not formed correctly; “researcher collect data” also has a subject–verb form problem. Articles and prepositions are often missing, as in “in modern internet world” and “using internet.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then combine comparisons with clauses while checking articles, agreement, and punctuation.
