Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main peak correctly: males aged 16–20 record 19 hours, and females in the same group also have the highest figure, at 18. You also report several other age-group comparisons. However, the summary is only partial: it does not clearly describe the overall pattern across all age groups, and the response ends while discussing the 51+ group, leaving its comparison incomplete. Some details are also imprecise: the table gives hours spent on the Internet, not time on social media, and the 31–50 figures (3 for males and 4 for females) are not reported. A clearer overview and accurate coverage of the main contrasts would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: an opening sentence is followed by an overview and then a paragraph with figures, and phrases such as “Furthermore” and “Afterwards” attempt to connect details. However, progression is not consistently clear. The overview repeats the peak-age point without setting out the broader pattern, while the body moves from 11–15 to 26–30 and then back to 21–25. Several linking expressions feel mechanical, and the final sentence is cut off, so the ending does not complete the comparison. Group the age bands in a logical order and use a concise overview followed by systematically organised details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant vocabulary, including “average hours,” “highest value,” and “age group,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. “Engage on social media” is not an appropriate description of the table, which concerns Internet use, and “spent maximum time” is less natural than a precise comparison such as “recorded the highest average.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “Europian,” “caregory,” and “femakes.” Use accurate terms consistently and check spelling, especially in key labels and comparisons.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, for example, “While for females more time is spent by people belonging to same age groups as for males,” but these structures are often faulty or incomplete. The opening overview contains a sentence fragment beginning “While,” and “males belonging to second caregory of age groups spent maximum time” lacks natural article use and clear grammatical construction. Other problems include “men have age between 16 and 20 spent” and inconsistent tense in “spend” and “spent.” Punctuation and spacing are also uneven. Prefer clear, complete sentences with a consistent past tense, and check subject–verb structure and articles before adding more complex clauses.
