Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main pattern that the 16–20 group spends the most time online and that usage is lowest among people aged 51+, which are relevant features. However, the report only partially covers the table: it gives some figures for younger groups but does not accurately report the older groups, and the final sentence stops before stating the hours for those aged 51+. The claim that children are the second-highest group is also inaccurate: the 11–15 group is below the 21–25 group for both sexes. The response is 18 words below the required minimum, leaving important comparisons undeveloped. Include a complete overview and accurately compare the male and female figures across the age bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs giving some details. Linking expressions such as “overall,” “followed by,” and “then” show an attempt to guide the reader through the information. However, progression is not consistently clear. The third paragraph groups several age bands together as spending “moderate time” without explaining their order or values, and the final sentence is incomplete, so the report ends abruptly. Some connections are also confusing, particularly “along with this age group,” which does not clearly show how the listed groups compare. Organise the details into clear comparisons—for example, the peak group, the middle age bands, and the oldest groups—and use complete sentences to make each relationship explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “average hours,” “highest,” “least users,” and “age group,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “hours consumed on internet.” Some word choices and collocations are unnatural or unclear, such as “dissimilar age group,” “largest time consumers,” and “moderate no of hours.” Spelling errors in “tabel” and “europen” also reduce accuracy. Aim for concise, conventional language for describing data, such as “spent online,” “the highest figure,” and “people aged 51 and over.” Vary the wording without using expressions that obscure whether you mean hours, users, or age groups.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to use more than simple statements, including a comparison with “followed by” and a clause beginning “notably,” but the range is limited and many sentences are difficult to follow because of frequent grammatical errors. For example, “the most of the time consumed on internet is by the teenagers” has problems with article use and sentence construction, while “hours consumed by teenager is highest” has errors in number agreement and article use. The final phrase, “more then 51+ by on just,” is not a complete grammatical sentence. Use complete subject–verb structures, check singular and plural forms, and punctuate each sentence clearly. Short, accurate comparisons would make the figures easier to understand.
