Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main pattern accurately: the 16–20 group records the highest figures for both sexes, while Internet use is lower in the older groups. You also include several relevant comparisons, such as 8 versus 6 hours for ages 11–15 and 7 versus 5 for ages 21–25. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate. The table shows 4 hours for both sexes at ages 26–30, but your sentence combines this with ages 31–50, where the figures are 3 for males and 4 for females. The final group is also not 3 hours for both sexes: it is 2 for males and 3 for females. A more precise overview and careful reporting of these distinctions would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs that group the age categories. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly” and “Secondly” help the reader follow the comparisons, and the main age groups are presented in a broadly logical order. However, the linking can feel mechanical, and some references are difficult to interpret. For example, “Both of those at 26 to 50 years old” merges two separate table categories, while “At the last rank” does not clearly connect the final comparison to the figures. Use paragraphing to group the age bands accurately, and make each sentence state its subject and comparison explicitly. This would improve progression and reduce ambiguity.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “table,” “group,” “hours,” “compared with,” and “category,” so the reader can understand the general topic and comparisons. However, the range and control of word choice are limited, with several awkward or inaccurate expressions. “European public” is not a natural way to describe the people in the table, and “rare usese” appears to be an unsuccessful attempt to describe infrequent use. Phrases such as “in the Internet” and “second rank” also sound unnatural in this context. Choose standard collocations for describing data, such as “spend time online,” “the second-highest figure,” and “the oldest age group.” Check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including comparisons with “while” and an overview beginning “Overall.” The intended meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “both male and female those between 16 to 20 years spend” has an unclear subject and faulty structure; “both of male and female they spend” repeats the subject; and “less then them for two hours” does not form a clear comparison. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “Both of those … they spend.” Build comparisons with a clear subject and verb—for example, “Males aged 16–20 spent 19 hours, compared with 18 hours for females”—and check articles, prepositions, and punctuation.
