Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that weather or not, some worst situation should be accepted silently, like a bad job or low income, or one should put more efforts and hardwork to change the situations. In my opinion people should never lose hope and keep working to make their lives better.
People who argue that one should cope with the situation and do not try to resist it, say that if people will not accept their current situations, they will make decisions on basis on false assumptions, which will make their lives more worst, as they can loose current opportunities as well. People often have responsibilities attached with them, like taking care of parents or children, they can also suffer beacuse of their decisions. It is seen that people who cannot assess their current situation practically, often makes bad decisions, which can lead to suffering for them and other people. In contrast, people who are in favour of trying to improve and do more hardwork to change the bad times of life argue that hope is an essential part of human life, no matter how worst the situations are one should never stop trying. In addition, people will get derpressed and hopeless if they will stop trying to improve their situations.
In my opinion, although people should understand and assess their present circumstances, they should keep moving and working hard to make their lives better. If everyone will accept the things and will not try to change, it will create a psychological stress, which can destroy mental health.
In conclusion, it is important to have an assessment of circumstances one is going through, but after understanding one should always, work hard and try to find a way out of bad situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a consistent opinion: you explain why people may accept difficult circumstances, then argue that they should keep trying to improve them. The point about responsibilities to parents or children is relevant, and your conclusion restates your position clearly. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The case for acceptance is supported with a practical risk—making decisions based on false assumptions—but the opposing view relies mainly on hope and the possibility of becoming depressed. The claim that accepting circumstances can damage mental health also needs explanation or a concrete example. Develop each side with a specific illustration and clarify when acceptance might be sensible, while still showing why you favour taking action.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, discussion of the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. The progression from the risks of change to the benefits of trying is generally easy to follow, and phrases such as “In contrast” and “In my opinion” help signal shifts. This shows a coherent arrangement, with some flexibility beyond basic linking. However, the second view is joined to the first in one long paragraph, so the contrast is less clear than it could be. Some links are mechanical, and the reference in “the things” is vague. Give each view its own paragraph, use transitions selectively, and make references explicit so readers can follow the argument without having to infer what a phrase refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “responsibilities,” “opportunities,” “assess,” and “mental health.” There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “find a way out of bad situations.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision: “worst situation” and “more worst” are not natural forms, while “do more hardwork” and “accept the things” are imprecise. Spelling errors such as “loose,” “beacuse,” and “derpressed” are noticeable. Build a more accurate range around the topic—for example, “financial hardship,” “unsatisfactory circumstances,” and “take practical steps”—and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses (“if people will not accept…”) and a concession structure (“although people should understand…”). The main meaning is usually clear, but some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries reduce accuracy. For example, “people who… often makes” should use a plural verb, and “if everyone will accept” needs a more suitable conditional form. The long sentence beginning “In contrast” also runs directly into the next idea without a space or clear boundary. Practise forming conditionals and maintaining subject–verb agreement, and divide long sentences where they contain separate claims. These changes would make your varied structures more controlled and easier to read.
