Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Before presenting my opinion. I will discuss both view.
To commence with, There are several reasons why some individuals believe that it is best to accept a bad situation. The primary reason is that unsatisfactory job provide us low income salaries, where people can not survive properly. they might faces some dificulties such as shortage of money. as a result, they may not be able to become financially independence in the future. overall, accepting bad situation sometimes solve their problems. Although, accepting a bad situation has some dificulties.
On the other hand, others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. I think it has some advantages. The main advantage is that if individuals try to solve their dificulties and improve such situations. they may gradually becomes more independence in the future. for example, when people try and improve such situations they may able to gain experience. as a result, they can understand their problems and manage this situations. therefore, individuals can build their teamwork skills in an early age.
In conclusion, although accepting a bad situation can sometimes help people remain patient and satisfied, I believe that trying to improve difficult circumstances is a better approach because it can create better opportunities and lead to a more successful life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You introduce both positions and give a clear preference in the conclusion: you believe improving difficult circumstances creates better opportunities. However, the discussion is only partial and the supporting ideas are limited. The first body paragraph does not clearly explain why someone might accept a bad situation; instead, it links an unsatisfactory job to low income and financial difficulty, then says acceptance may solve problems without explaining how. The second view is also asserted rather than developed, and the example about gaining experience and teamwork skills is not fully connected to improving a job or financial circumstances. The response is 195 words, below the required 250; 52 words copied from the prompt are excluded from the count. Develop each view with a specific reason and relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand,” “for example,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within the body paragraphs is not always clear. In the first, the links between an unsatisfactory job, low income, accepting the situation, and solving problems are difficult to follow. Several sentences begin with connectors such as “as a result” and “therefore,” but the relationships they signal are not always fully established. The opening phrase “Before presenting my opinion” also promises a discussion that is not clearly delivered. Build each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “financially,” “experience,” and “opportunities.” However, the range is limited and some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated uses of “bad situation,” “improve such situations,” and “difficulties.” Several collocations or word forms are inaccurate, such as “low income salaries,” “financially independence,” and “manage this situations.” These choices make parts of the argument less natural and occasionally less clear. Spelling errors, including “dificulties,” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use more precise phrases for the two viewpoints and check common word partnerships and word forms; this will make your ideas easier to understand without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if individuals try to solve their difficulties…” and a contrast clause in the conclusion. However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer sentences often contain errors that make the relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “unsatisfactory job provide,” “they might faces,” and “they may gradually becomes,” where subject–verb agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “Before presenting my opinion. I will discuss both view” should be joined or punctuated as a complete sentence, and several sentences begin with lowercase words after full stops. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses and check agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation.
