Student answer (Band 5.5)

Most people think that it is better to aceept a difficult suituation, such as an uncormfortable job or lack of money. On the other hand, others debate that is best to attempt and improve such suituations. In this essay I will be discussing both views and give my own opinion at the end.

In recent times, alot of people tend to accept bad suituations because of the difficult position they sometimes find theirselves in. For example, accepting a job that is quite uncormfortable and don't bring enough income. This can be because of lack of better jobs and unable to stay idol doing nothing. Most times distance can be barrier to accessing better opportunities and ideas. These are reasons why some people accept bad suituations not as a result of laziness but, lack of good environment and connections influences such choices.

On the other hand, other people best believe it is better to always make attempt and improve this suituations and sometimes cannot get used to such tightness of life. However,it should be taken into considerations that this particular set of individuals can have key resources in achieving such goal. For example, business stagnancy; this can be easily improved easily most of the times because there is availability of resources for restocking or setting up a new location for better attraction to consumers.Unlike a case where these are not available.

In conclusion, people who accept bad suituations have ethical reasons for accepting it while, those who tends not accept it have the basic resources and key ideas to improving it.In my own opinion, accepting a bad suituation isn't bad except when there are ways for improving it and having rooms for better decision but, still choose to let it be that way because of laziness it's not accepted. And, for those who take advantages of their position to make way through for themselves, it's the right thing to do.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and give a personal position, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The first view is supported with relevant reasons, including limited job opportunities, financial pressure and distance from better opportunities. The second view is illustrated through a business that can improve by restocking or moving to a more attractive location. However, these points are not fully explained, and the contrast between people who lack resources and those who have them remains general. Your opinion appears most clearly in the conclusion, but the claim that accepting a bad situation is acceptable except when improvement is possible could be stated and supported more clearly throughout. Develop each view with a specific example and explain how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear links, as in the first body paragraph’s movement from job shortages to distance and connections. Some transitions are mechanical, and punctuation around them is inconsistent. The conclusion also combines several points in a long sentence, making your final position less easy to identify. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each reason to its explanation, and divide complex points into shorter, logically linked sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “lack of money,” “better opportunities,” “resources,” and “stagnancy,” and the reader can generally understand the intended discussion. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors recur, including “aceept,” “suituation,” and “uncormfortable.” There are also inaccurate or unnatural word choices and collocations, such as “stay idol” for remaining idle, “tightness of life,” and “ethical reasons” where you appear to mean practical or personal reasons. Repetition of “bad situations” and “improve” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for employment, financial hardship and making changes; this will make your ideas more precise and easier to read.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “Unlike.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “others debate that is best to attempt” is missing a subject after “that,” while “accepting a job … and don't bring enough income” has an unclear subject and inconsistent verb construction. There are also sentence fragments, such as “This can be because of lack of better jobs,” and punctuation problems where sentences run together. Work on complete clauses, subject–verb agreement and consistent sentence boundaries. Building accurate sentences first, then adding subordinate clauses, will improve control.
