Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often debated that is it better to accept a worst condition, such as an unsatisfactory employment or lack of wealth. Although others believe that the only way is to try for the betterment of overall situation. In my opinion, it is vital to work on improvent rather than give up, whereas the people who accept the bad situation are at worse phase of life where they don't see anything good in future.
The reason why people accept the worst phase of their life are a lot of failures, which they already experienced. Sometimes people struggle to find jobs oppotunity or sometimes they are out of money. These conditions are nightmare for them, so they try to find solutions but sometimes nothing changed. After doing efforts they just give up and feel that they can't do anything now. The lack of motvation and support from society is the key factor why they fail to manage these kind of problems in life.
The people argued that it is more best to find a solution or to do any other thing that can helps them to improve their situations instead of giving up in difficult phase. I strongly believe that this should be the first pariority of peoples to practice during these conditions. The reason why some argue about this because if people will not try to overcome their problems by themselves than no one comes to help them. Even if someone contributed once or twice, they will not do it for longer period. Subsequently, if they try to solve these situations by themselves they will become successful one day. Even they face failures in starting but its a part of journey; however these temporary hurdles will not effect as much as stopping to try will cost. So i also admire the people who try to handle these types of conditions by their own with motivation and faith. If people relay on others instead of overcome the bad situations by self will let them alone after few times. Nowadays, most of the people are selfish that's why people should try by self only with the motivation of never give up.
Overall, some people think they can go with flow of they can't secure a better employment chance or enough money to survive. On the other hand some argue that these type of people ahould work by self to improve their situation by working on problems. I also agree with these people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and gives a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances. The opening states that working towards improvement is vital, and the final paragraph reiterates agreement with this view. The explanation of acceptance is relevant: repeated failures, lack of support and discouragement may lead people to give up. The argument for taking action is also explained through self-reliance and persistence. However, some points remain general or are asserted rather than demonstrated—for example, the claim that people will become successful if they keep trying, and that others are mostly selfish. A specific example, such as retraining to find work or budgeting during financial hardship, would make the reasoning more convincing. Develop the two perspectives with more balanced, concrete support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs discussing the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument understandable, and linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “Even if,” and “Overall” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by repeated claims about trying independently and by long sequences of ideas joined together. For instance, the paragraph supporting improvement moves from self-reliance to temporary failures, motivation, and selfishness without clearly grouping these points. Some references, such as “these type of people,” are also unclear. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s focus, then organise supporting reasons and examples in a more deliberate order.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses enough vocabulary to discuss hardship and persistence, including “lack of motivation,” “overcome their problems,” “temporary hurdles,” and “selfish.” These choices communicate the central ideas, and there are attempts to use less common expressions. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, as in “accept a worst condition,” “unsatisfactory employment,” “more best,” and “at worse phase of life.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “improvent,” “oppotunity,” “motvation,” and “pariority” also reduce accuracy. Repetition of “situation,” “people,” and “try” limits flexibility. Build a more reliable range of natural phrases for employment and financial difficulty, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “if.” This allows the writer to express causes, contrasts, and conditions. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences, and some errors make relationships harder to follow. For example, “It is often debated that is it better” has faulty question structure, while “the reason why people accept … are” has subject–verb disagreement. In “if people will not try … than no one comes,” the conditional verb forms are not controlled, and several sentences run together with weak punctuation. Practise accurate indirect-question forms, agreement, and conditional structures, then divide long sentences where they contain several separate claims.
