Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that there are two types of people the very first one who usually accept the bad situations easily. Meanwhile others, who fought hard to change the circumstances. I side with the 2nd one who fight for themselves. In further paragraph i will elaborate both positive and negative sides and conclude with my logical opinions.

One of the primary reason usually people accept their bad situation because they give up and loose their faith in it. For example a person who didn't get he's desire job so he quit applying further.Wherever, on the other hand a person who believes he might kept following something wrong patterns so he improves himself and applied numerous time until he get his job.

Further more sometimes people also stopped because they unable to leave their comfort zone and follow their usual routines.Although, few of them gathering courage and work hard to change their current scenarios. History gives us so many example of people who born in decent families and still becomes great artists, entrepreneurs, businessman, and giving new definition to the course of life and live life based on their way without following others opinion.

To conclude, I strongly believe that person should try until they get their desired circumstances around them. and give themselves an accountability of achievements without any guilt for not trying whenever they sufficient time in their hand. And become a role model for others to inspire people about how life's changes apart we can stand strong against's the all odds.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, including both views and a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention reasons for accepting or changing situations, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'history' is too vague to be effective. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with logical reasoning rather than just stating the idea. The position is clear throughout, but the overall development remains basic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Wherever, on the other hand' is used incorrectly to transition between ideas. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack logical flow, such as the opening paragraph's structure. While there is a clear attempt at progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing make the flow feel disjointed at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'bad situations' and 'work hard' throughout the text. There are also noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'loose their faith' (should be 'lose') and 'he's desire job' (should be 'his desired job'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people who born'), incorrect verb tenses ('he might kept following'), and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often repetitive, and some sentences are grammatically incomplete or awkward, such as 'And become a role model for others to inspire people about how life's changes apart we can stand strong against's the all odds.' More attention to basic grammar rules and sentence construction is needed.
