Student answer (Band 6.0)
In my perspective people who believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money are may to lazy or in denial. They are not ready to work hard and gain more. They have just been working for the things that are easy for them to do. There is one of friend in university who scored D grade in the clinical exam. And the professor offered the students to take a re-examination if they are not happy with their grade. But she did not wanted to take another exam to improve her grade. In her perspective that it will be just a waste of time to give the same exam again. So, she did not gave that exam. But those who argue that it is better to try and improve such situation are the people who always want to improve and gain more. It is a crucial part of the life to always try something again if have ever not had enough satisfaction with the results. If the person is not satisfied with the job then they should try to work hard and get better job and their desired salary for there satisfaction in the life with weather its the job or the salary. When i was working with one of the most popular organisation in the Lahore. Where people dream to get a job. But i was not happy with my salary, it was not enough because i was working more than my salary which I was been paid by the organisation. So, I worked hard and gave an exam to a specific position which was offering my desired salary and i got that position in the organisation and got my desired salary.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The example regarding the university friend is relevant but lacks depth, and the personal anecdote about the job in Lahore is a bit repetitive in its explanation. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the 'why' behind these perspectives—for instance, discussing the psychological or long-term economic implications of accepting versus challenging a bad situation. The position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments could be more sophisticated and better structured to fully explore the prompt's requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay lacks clear paragraphing, which makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of ideas. The entire response is written as one block of text. While there is some attempt at logical flow, the transition between the two viewpoints and your personal opinion is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive or used incorrectly (e.g., 'In her perspective that it will be...'). To improve, you must use clear paragraph breaks to separate the introduction, the two opposing views, and your conclusion. Using a wider variety of linking words like 'conversely,' 'furthermore,' or 'consequently' would also improve the logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'bad situation,' 'work hard,' and 'get better job.' There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'are may to lazy' and 'give the same exam.' While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated vocabulary or idiomatic expressions limits your score. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating simple words like 'job' or 'salary' throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('she did not wanted'), incorrect verb tenses ('she did not gave'), and awkward sentence structures ('there satisfaction in the life with weather its the job or the salary'). You rely mostly on simple sentences, and your attempts at more complex structures often result in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly tense consistency and the correct use of articles and prepositions. Proofreading for common errors like 'did not' followed by the base form of the verb would significantly improve your accuracy.
