Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation and Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. I partially agree with the statement. The statement describes two different school of thought.
some people choose comfort and try to live happily with such sort of conditions. They becomes habitual with their 9 to 5 jobs and consider it is his whole life revolve around it. They have pessimist type of personality. They don't try to change their fate and live in circle. They accept their poor fate as a destiny and don't try to make life better. Unlike people who believe that it is better to try and improve such situations. These people always passionate tp try something new and different. They always do tasks with consistency. They always in search of new opportunies and make the life more attractive by doing such things. They can achive their goals with hard working. They improve their living conditions and earn respect money and everything which they wants to achieve.
I personally agree with those sort of people who believe to improve their condition with work

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 191 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack the necessary depth and supporting examples required for a high score. While you address both sides of the argument and state a personal opinion, the discussion is underdeveloped. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples or logical reasoning to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive analysis of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction that paraphrases the prompt effectively, and the body paragraphs are not clearly demarcated. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'They always...'). The progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. To improve, ensure you use clear paragraph breaks and a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect your ideas logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. Phrases like 'pessimist type of personality' and 'poor fate' are somewhat unnatural. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'respect money'. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations. Focus on using synonyms and academic phrases to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement ('They becomes habitual', 'They always in search'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical structures. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors is noticeable and occasionally distracts from the message. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Incorporating more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, will also help increase your score.
