Student answer (Band 7.0)

Many believe that it is better for individuals to accept bad situations, like unsatisfaction with job or shortage of money, while others contemplate that it is better to fight back of these issues and improve it. This essay is set to discuss both the views along with suitable examples before proving an opinion prior to reach on a reasonable conclusion in the forthcoming paragraphs.

Commencing with the foremost reason is that satisfaction gives people motivation to do their work seamlessly. There are many individuals contemplate that shortage of money or unsatisfactory job can lead to many problem in one's life. For example, a person who work in a multinational company or industry, and they not satisfied with their job that time they did not able to contribute in company progress because they will do their job as a income not as a interest. Subsequently, money is very important in todays fast paced world because if a individual who has shortage of money at that time they will not give happiness to their family.

On the other hand, it is better to improve our financial condition rather than making excuses of job satisfaction as well as shortage of money. If people have least interest in the job they do at that time they will find another job or they can do job with their beat potential this way they get promotion and better salary in the workplace. For instance, individuals who worked hard in their life for making their dreams true they will get satisfaction in life by chose to make the situation better instead of making excuses.

In my opinion, while accepting certain situations may be necessary in the short term, people should not lose the desire to improve their lives. Taking calculated risks and investing in personal development can lead to long-term success. Even small steps, such as enrolling in training courses or searching for better employment, can gradually transform an individual's circumstances.

In conclusion, accepting difficult situations may provide temporary stability and peace of mind, especially when change is not immediately possible. However, I believe that making consistent efforts to improve one's circumstances is a more beneficial approach, as it promotes personal development, financial security, and overall life satisfaction.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, though some arguments, particularly in the second paragraph, are slightly under-developed and repetitive. For instance, the explanation of why an unsatisfied employee cannot contribute to company progress is a bit simplistic. However, the position is consistent throughout, and the conclusion effectively synthesises the arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that examples are more specific and that the reasoning behind the 'acceptance' perspective is explored with more depth rather than just focusing on the negative outcomes of dissatisfaction.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two views. Cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'fight back of these issues' which is awkward. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common collocations, such as 'fast paced world' and 'calculated risks'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and form, such as 'unsatisfaction' (instead of dissatisfaction), 'fight back of' (instead of fight against), and 'do job with their beat potential' (instead of best potential). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the writing. A wider range of vocabulary and more accurate collocations would be required for a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'a individual', 'they did not able to'). Some sentences are clunky, such as 'This essay is set to discuss both the views along with suitable examples before proving an opinion prior to reach on a reasonable conclusion'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences would significantly improve the score.
