Student answer (Band 6.5)
Sometimes in life, people suffer from crisis and that is when they are unable to figure out the right path for their future. There is a huge difference in being greedy and in giving up. Accepting the bad situation for a while is fine, but refusing to work harder for the future is unacceptable. Nowadays, every citizen has numerous resources and opportunities to improve his lifestyle. However, an individual should not be greedy of earning more and more if he has enough, in fact, he should be grateful for having almost all the blessings. People should grab every opportunity even if the job is unsatisfactory but they should never give up never give up their morale.
However, it is always better to do efforts in order to improve such situations. It is generally believed that, efforts never go in vain. It leads to a better lifestyle, living, an environment to bring up a family and more importantly a respectable position in the society. Many citizen keep working hard till they reach such standards and that is what I believe in. When you have given up on life, then no one will come and save you, instead you will be the one suffering each day, regretting your life decisions. Working hard with pure intentions is always better than regretting afterwards.
In conclusion, I will always prefer to work hard then to remain stuck in the same position where I am not able to showcase my potential and capabilities. In my opinion, working hard and smart is the ultimate solution of every problem. As the saying goes, " If there is a will, there is a way".

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that people should not be greedy and should be grateful, this point is not fully connected to the prompt's focus on 'accepting a bad situation' versus 'improving it'. The arguments remain a bit general and could benefit from more specific examples or deeper analysis of why one might choose to accept a situation versus why they should strive for change. The conclusion is clear, but the overall depth of the discussion is more characteristic of a Band 6.0 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into three paragraphs. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'In conclusion', and 'In my opinion' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the internal structure of the paragraphs could be tighter. For instance, the transition between the idea of 'greed' and 'accepting a bad situation' in the first paragraph is slightly abrupt. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the flow of ideas is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'unsatisfactory', 'potential', and 'capabilities'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'do efforts' (should be 'make efforts') and 'greedy of earning' (should be 'greedy for earning'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing like 'working hard' which appears multiple times.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'Many citizen keep working' (should be 'citizens keep'), 'regretting afterwards' (should be 'regretting it afterwards'), and 'solution of every problem' (should be 'solution to every problem'). Punctuation is generally fine, but there are some minor errors with comma usage. The frequency of these errors does not impede communication, but they are noticeable enough to prevent a higher score in this criterion.
