Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. I agree that it is better to improve the situations.
On one hand, in today's world it is very hard to find the satisfactory job as the competition is rising day by day the people should do any job they are getting. Some people have family problems like financial condition is not good and some have family responsibilities they should work in unsatisfactory job as there need money for there family so they do the job anywhere they get. The people who are less educated can't leave there stable job.
On the other hand, the people should make effort to get a better job and good income as many of the people have limited resources but they do hard work and get a better job the people should try to improve his skills and do better education then he will get the good job and good income from that he can solve the family's financial condition. The people should try to find better opportunity everywhere.
In my opinion, accepting a unsatisfactory for short term is good but people should try to find the better and satisfactory job for long term. There are many private and government institutions which help to find a good job according to people qualifications.
In conclusion, the person should think about his condition and problems and need to take decision if he want a short term or long term benefit then he can choose the job he want to do.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding why people accept bad situations (financial necessity) and why they should improve them (skill development) are relevant but lack depth and specific illustrative examples. The essay tends to repeat the same points rather than extending them into a more sophisticated discussion. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples or explore the long-term consequences of these choices in greater detail to show a more nuanced understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a basic progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Phrases like 'On one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used correctly, but the internal linking within paragraphs is weak. For instance, the transition between sentences in the second paragraph is abrupt. Improving the flow by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms such as 'good job', 'bad situation', and 'do the job'. While these words communicate your meaning, they do not demonstrate the range required for a higher band. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'do better education' instead of 'pursue further education' or 'improve one's qualifications'. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and add sophistication to your arguments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'there need money'), article usage (e.g., 'the satisfactory job'), and incorrect preposition use. Additionally, there are some punctuation errors and run-on sentences, such as 'the competition is rising day by day the people should do any job'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence boundary control and basic grammatical accuracy will be beneficial.
