Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that people should either accept difficult situations, such as an unfulfilling job or a lack of money , or take action to improve ones circumstances is a far better approach.
on the one hand , accepting an unpleasant situation may help people reduce stress and mainly emotional stress. In many cases, individual cannot change their circumstances immediately due to family responsibilities , limited education and economical conditions. Instead they may choose to adapt and focus on their positive aspects of their lives. For instead, a person with a low-paying job may continue working to support their family while gradually saving money for the future.
On the other hands, I strongly believe that people should actively seek to improve their situations whenever possible. Remaining in a job that offers little satisfaction or financial growth may prevalent individuals from reaching their full potential. such determination not only increases income but also boosts confidence and personal satisfaction by learning new skills, pursing higher education, or searching for better employments opportunities, people can significantly improve their quality of life.
In conclusion, while accepting difficult circumstances may sometimes be necessary in the short terms, I believe it should never become a permanent mindset. people should remain and continue striving for better opportunities, as perserverance and self-improvements often lead to long-term success and a more fulfilling life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the discussion. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped due to the brevity of the response. For example, the argument regarding accepting a situation could be expanded with more nuanced examples beyond just 'family responsibilities'. To improve, you must ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of your arguments, which is essential for reaching higher band scores.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hands', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, there are some minor issues with mechanical usage and punctuation, such as the incorrect pluralization in 'On the other hands' and inconsistent spacing before punctuation marks. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'unfulfilling', 'circumstances', and 'perseverance'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'economical conditions' (should be 'economic conditions'), 'prevalent individuals' (should be 'prevent individuals'), and 'pursing higher education' (should be 'pursuing'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary and focusing on correct collocations will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('individual cannot change' should be 'individuals cannot change'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms ('better employments opportunities'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence structure will be beneficial.
