Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money has become a widely debated issue among people of different backgrounds,While others humans argue that is better to try and improve such situations. This essay will discuss both views and perspectives before presenting my own opinion.

On the one hand, those who support many public debate that it is good to accept a poor situations because man is the one who admits his mistake and tries to correct it. For example, a person makes a mistake but he does not admit his mistake, that person is the biggest fool,so that every person should admit his mistake and try to improve it. there fore every persons should admit his mistake and attempt to improve it and that persons is wise.

On the other hand, others population dispute that it is better to test and improve such situations because every persons should every work is better to strive and improve any situations there fore do not harm everything. For instance, if many peoples is not good work trust is lifted from them and they are not called for the next task ,so every persons should do not best work so that no one is harmed. There fore every humans should do good work so that the owner is happy with his work.

In my opinion, I agree both the views there fore both the statements are correct in their place.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is significantly limited. The arguments provided are repetitive and lack logical depth or relevant examples. For instance, the discussion on 'admitting mistakes' does not clearly relate to the prompt's focus on accepting or improving a 'bad situation' like an unsatisfactory job. The ideas are under-developed, and the conclusion is too brief to effectively summarize the main points. To improve, you should focus on providing clear, distinct reasons for each perspective and support them with concrete, logical examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand'), they are often followed by sentences that lack logical flow or coherence. The referencing is sometimes confusing, such as the transition between the concept of admitting mistakes and the actual prompt topic. The use of linking words is mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, which disrupts the overall flow of the argument. Improving the logical connection between sentences and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'good', 'bad', 'work', and 'person'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'others population dispute' and 'test and improve', which do not accurately convey the intended meaning. The lack of variety in your vocabulary makes the essay feel simplistic. To achieve a higher band score, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations related to the topic of professional and personal development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every persons should', 'many peoples is'), sentence structure, and punctuation. The use of complex sentences is attempted but often results in fragmented or run-on sentences that are difficult to follow. The frequent errors in basic grammar, such as pluralization and verb tense, significantly affect the clarity of your writing. Focusing on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a crucial step toward improving your grammatical accuracy.
