Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address both views and provide an opinion, but the ideas are frequently unclear and difficult to follow. While you state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments in the body paragraphs are disjointed and lack logical development. For example, the anecdote about the doctor and the family member is confusing and does not effectively support the argument that one should try to improve a bad situation. The second body paragraph is also difficult to interpret, making it hard to identify a coherent argument. To improve, focus on clearly stating one main idea per paragraph and supporting it with logical, easy-to-follow examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there are paragraph breaks, the progression of ideas is not logical. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as 'As result' or 'Therefore', which do not accurately link the preceding ideas to the conclusions drawn. Referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. To improve, use transition words like 'furthermore', 'however', or 'consequently' more accurately and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. Many words are misspelled or misused, such as 'morden' instead of 'modern', 'humanbiegn' instead of 'human beings', and 'arenze' instead of 'arrange'. There is a lack of variety, and the phrasing is often unnatural, making it difficult to grasp the intended meaning. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your vocabulary by reading academic texts and noting how words are used in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

There is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'For instance People are all time hard work in onw companies and suddenly thei family member is's sireos angery'. These errors make the text very difficult to read. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures—subject, verb, and object—before attempting more complex sentences. Proofreading for basic punctuation and verb tense consistency is also essential.
